English is my second language, please excuse any mistakes.
When I got my vaccines at 1 year old I developed a rare blood disorder, thrombocytopenia. My parents were advised that I shouldn't get any more vaccines as it could have terrible effects on my health (and the possibility of death because of the blood clots). All my siblings are fully vaccinated and I never was against any vaccines. In June, I was told by my family doctor that I wouldn't be forced to get the vaccine, due to my condition, but when the vaccine passeport started in September, she backtracked and told me I would not qualify for the exemption. I went to 3 other doctors for their opinions and all of them told me the same thing, to get vaccinated as I wouldn't qualify for an exemption and my life would become miserable. I'm choosing not to get vaccinated at the moment, because there were cases of blood clots related to the vaccine and I don't feel safe taking it. This week, the PM of Canada announced that unvaxxed wouldn't be allowed to leave the country, by air/train/boat. No one seemed to bat an eyes. I tried talking to my family about it, how afraid I was for my future and they dismissed everything that I was saying. I told one of my siblings I felt like an hostage in my own country and he gave me a lecture about the word hostage and how unkind I was for "actual victims". I think at that moment I realized how gaslighting and brain washed they were, and if push comes to shove, they would not bat an eye if other drastic measures were taken against the unvaxxed. I've never felt this unsafe in my life. I feel like I should leave the country before it's too late, but I don't know were to go. I have a degree and lots of work experiences, but I don't have all that much in savings. Is anyone in a situation similar to mine? What are you planning to do? Leave the country or stay and watch it burn?
