I'm not American, but it seems that in America no one is allowed to criticize black people, gay people, trans people, anything LGBT, or even women, no matter what anyone from these "protected" groups say or do, without being attacked and labelled a "racist", "homophobe", "transphobe", "sexist", "misogynist", "incel", "bigot", etc. or even being accused of "hate speech"
I think it's good that if a group has traditionally been oppressed that people stick up for them, but at the same time I also think that wrong is wrong, no matter who says or does it, and so if someone from one of these protected groups says or does something wrong then people should be able to call it out and state the obvious without being attacked and silenced. No group should be shielded or off limits from valid criticism.
If black people can criticize white people, why can't white people criticize black people?
If gay or trans people can criticize straight people, why can't straight people criticize gay or trans people?
If women can criticize men, why can't men criticize women?
Why is any and all criticism of Black people, gay people, trans people, women, etc. no matter how valid, off limits?
PS: I tried posting this on both Unpopular Opinion and True Unpopular Opinion but apparently it was too controversial for both subs and was immediately removed
