It is proven that social media and other tech centered platforms were really just data traps. Not to mention that we should all be aware that emails aren’t really private regardless of how the provider might try to convince us that they are. Isn’t it interesting that we were told around the same time that social media and electronic communication were becoming prominent that we needed to ditch paper “for the planet”?
Paper comes from trees. Trees are the ONLY renewable resource that is also self-replacing. Paper as a product is the ONLY biodegradable material that can be used for nearly everything. Like many other “environmentally” considerate products (electric cars, solar panels, windmills, etc.) the production of said products is a greater threat to the environment than the “bad” products they seek to replace. Oil refinement for plastics is likely a greater strain on global supply and environment than all the cars and trucks combined. Plastics sit in landfills and the oceans for a lifetime. Paper is gone in a year. Mining necessary materials for batteries, cell phones, computers…more invasive than coal mining and cranks out carbon emissions in the process.
But, they literally have EVERY piece of data that every person has typed into the interwebs for the last 20 years. “bUt wE hAvE tO sAvE tReEs!”
