As the title says Wikipedia editors are debating deleting this article about mass killings in communist regimes.
Here is the link) for the article deletion discussion.
Here's the conspiracy; the most vocal proponent of deleting the article, this user, started making extensive edits starting on August 5th that numerous people have attempted to revert, but could not due to Wikipedias rules on removing recent edits by power editors without consensus (including the person who made the edits).
Examples of user Davide sabotaging the article by editing in deliberate problems that other editors have attempted to revert:
(There are many more these are just a few)
Edits 1 and 2 are contested as they aren't backed by sources and/or are opinion based. These edits also create POV Forks, different points of view throughout the article, which is grounds for removing an article per Wikipedia rules.
Edit 3-5 are replacing valid citations with ones that don't actually back up the claims being stated in the article.
Edit 6 removes relevant info and citations that point to genocide being a crime of salinist Russia.
Going through user Davide's edit history he is responsible for roughly 80% of all edits on this article since August 5th. All of which are questionable and damage the integrity of the article.
In the article deletion discussion he frequently brings up issues THAT HE HIMSELF CREATED as grounds for deleting the article. Most notably he constantly mentions POV Forks and improper citations making the article a violation of Wikipedia rules. This means the article needs to have rewrites to address these issues or it needs to be deleted.
I thought this was interesting as it shows how Wikipedia censorship can occur. One editor sabotages an article and because it then violates Wikipedia rules petitions to have it removed. To me this indicates that Wikipedia censorship is mostly decentralized by rogue editors with a political agenda.
Edit: TLDR Wikipedia relies on decentralized censorship, and because it is so obvious I believe Wikipedia allows it.
