By calling them elite, we are literally calling them greater than us; something they absolutely are not. They are parasites. They are weak. They are essentially powerless from within and need to feed on others to both survive and thrive.

This is a tough one, because in order to wake others up to their evil schemes and actual ruling power in the world, perhaps a word or phrase could denote their place in the hierarchy without implying that they are "greater" or "better" than the rest of us.

I'll tack a whack at it

The Ruling Inferiors - but even this phrasing continues to manifest the notion that they "rule" over us.

The Parasitic Prisoners - because even though they have power and wealth, they cannot choose the life they'd like to live. They are destined to be in the position they are in and cannot do anything about it.

The Sparkless - because they lack the spark that lies within the rest of us.

The Loveless - for obvious reasons
