I saw a post on another subreddit a week or two ago and ill be honest, I didnt think much of it. I thought it was just some random thought somebody has and that was it. It was about people spreading the idea of eating bugs and how its not too much of a bad thing.
Two weeks later im browsing reddit and see another post about the government of canada agriculture department or whatever investing in a company to produce a new facility that creates bugs to put into food.
One of the comments in the article says: "Apsire plans to use the investment, as well as smart technology, to build its first commercial insect production facility in Ontario. The facility will boost Aspire’s insect farming capabilities, providing it with the ability to grow and monitor billions of crickets, which will be used to create nutrient-rich protein ingredients for use in the human and pet food industries."
The original post I saw was posted 4 days before agriculture Canada revealed they made this investment into this what I will call bug company, and 2 days before that article was made. This does seem like it might be a genuine conspiracy/agenda to push us away from meats, or rather towards eating other things we think are fucking gross. It says theyre literally going to be putting bug parts into dog food and even OUR food.
I have all the links available and in a separate post, but am not posting them because I tried posting this twice and both times it got auto removed with no given reason or chance to contact the mods. What are your guys thoughts on this? When I saw the post I immediately had to go and backtrack to here because I remember seeing something about eating bugs but it lines up directly with them building this new facility to create bugs for use in foods.
