The big conspiracy was 911. Everyone knew it was somehow fake, or let to happen. Everyone suspected it was to get us into a war, and they did in fact do that - Afghanistan. They wanted to prove the capability to fight multiple simultaneous theaters of war, so they tried to sell the second Iraq war with the threat of WMDs. No one believed it. They fought like hell to sell the war to the public, and got rejected twice. Finally Colin Powell threatened everyone in congress with a mock vial of anthrax, and that convinced them. They tried to find the source of the anthrax, and blamed it on some guy who was a weapons inspector, Dr David Kelley, who got depressed and killed himself, supposedly. Then in the end, there were no WMDs in Iraq, and the whole thing was for nothing. UK Prime Minister Tony Blair had to admit he lied about his part when he said “facts were being fixed around the policy.”, meaning they lied to get what they wanted. He resigned as a leader and nothing was done.

EDIT: there a a little memory blurring here. The anthrax was the American, Dr Bruce Ivins, that killed himself, suspiciously. David Kelly was the weapons inspector who cooked up the “dirty dossier” for Tony Blair, and suspiciously killed himself, as well.
