Anybody who is interested in this case needs to read ‘The truth about the lie’ by Portuguese detective Goncalo Amaral.

Not much is known about the events directly leading up to the time of the disappearance. It appeared to be a normal multi-family holiday.

Evidence is non existent. The area in Portugal (Praia de Luz) is a tourist village in the south of Portugal, back in the mid 00s there was very little video surveillance in or around the apartment complex where the families were staying.

The accounts of what happened on the night leading up to the ‘discovery’ of Madeleine’s disappearance don’t seem to add up.

Police found two draughted schedules of the events of the evening, written by either one of the McCanns or their accomplices. There could be a totally reasonable explanation for this, but considering everything else that went on, it’s worth noting

All members of the party seemed to give statements that didn’t correlate, and changed frequently.

Upon discovering that madeleine was missing, the McCanns seemed to immediately become convinced that she had been abducted.. before even searching the complex and the surrounding areas.

One member of the party reported seeing an unknown male carrying a child fitting Madeleine’s description on the night of her disappearance. Afterward, all the other members of the party seemed to also suddenly remember seeing this unknown man, even though they omitted it from their original statements.

The McCanns also seemed to immediately suspect an abduction, with Kate even beginning to suggest places where the body may have been dumped. Police noted that these are very unusual and very specific accusations for a missing child case.

Police dogs flown from England detected cadaver (scent of deceased persons) on the car the McCanns hired, madeleines favourite cuddly toy, and also in the apartment which they stayed.

Tiny samples of blood found in the car and apartment were matched to Madeleine, but the results were deemed inconclusive.

The one suspect in the disappearance (Robert Murat, a British ex-pat) was thoroughly investigated and turned up squeaky clean. His home, car, everything was searched with dogs, ground penetrating radar, forensics, nothing. The McCanns I believe were hoping that Murat would be a perfect patsy, alas he was found completely innocent.

The British police were somewhat uncooperative with the Portuguese police. They seemed to be hesitant to process anything that implicated the McCanns.

Amaral’s neighbour’s house was burgled, nothing of value was taken other than a briefcase containing personal documents. Amaral hints that the burglars mistakenly entered the wrong home.. maybe intending to take his documents relating to the case?

Goncalo Amaral was smeared by the media. He knew that the McCanns were hiding something, but the media smeared him because it went against their narrative of the McCanns being the victims. Eventually he was kicked off the case.

Kate McCann believed that psychic mediums to help get more clues to her daughter’s whereabouts. She actually gave police information passed to her by a psychic medium relating to the location of the body.

Kate also enlisted the help of a South African man who claimed to have invented a machine that, when given a hair sample, would autonomously locate the body corresponding to the sample. Needless to say the machine produced no result.

It’s worth noting that Kate is a certified medical doctor who believes in psychic powers, magical body finding machines and also happens to be a bible basher too.

It’s also rumoured that the McCanns know former British prime minister Gordon Brown personally. Use this information at your own free will.

Did the McCanns kill her daughter? Maybe

Was she abducted as described by the official story? Unlikely

Were the McCanns involved in their daughters disappearance? Highly likely

I forgot to mention that as soon as Murat was on the police radar the McCanns and the others all suddenly decided that it was Murat that they saw carrying the child on the night of the disappearance.

I’m glad that the Portuguese police figured all this out, if it was up to the UK police, they would have used him for the very effective patsy he potentially could have been
