I am a board certified emergency physician, and was curious if anyone had come across the actual surgery Pelosi had for a skull fracture. Often times with a skull fracture their isn’t a surgery needed unless there is an underlying brain bleed such as a subarachnoid hemorrhage, epidural or subdural bleed. I haven’t heard that he had anything like this, and I am not sure what surgery he would have to get. We don’t staple a skull fracture back together. So I was just wondering if anyone had actually heard of what specific surgery he needed. Stitches? I am sure we will hear more in the coming days, but the mechanism of trauma does not match the injury description to me at this time. I do not feel truth anywhere in the narrative of this story.
