Why didn’t Republicans remind voters of lockdowns and vaccine mandates?

Republicans would have won about 350 House seats if they had campaigned almost solely on opposing lockdowns and vaccine passports. But instead, I hardly heard about those issues in 2022. I just heard some endless talk about critical race theory and crime.

The whole GOP campaign was basically akin to the Emily Oster article about forgiving each other for COVID mistakes.
