So there's a theory that The Titanic was switched with its sister ship, The Olympic, for insurance fraud. The Olympic was damaged during a voyage, and the cost would have been too much to save it. Instead of scrapping it, they switched it with the Titanic and just painted it to look like it. All that had to be done was switching the documents for both ships. The captain was told various times to slow down due to an ice field ahead and did not. There were also a lot of people who canceled their trips very last minute, including JP Morgan, who was the owner of the ships, leaving his top 3 political competitors on the ship to die. There were also two ships near The Titanic. One was an hour away but had its radio turned off due to them stopping because of the ice so they couldn't receive any radio transmissions. The other was two hours and away and did receive transmissions but couldn't get there till after she sank. A survivor also stated that it was the Olympic and not the Titanic that sank. He said he waited till he was he on his deathbed to say this because he knew they would come after him. It just seems like nothing adds up unless they were switched. Thoughts?
