Over the last couple decades on social media, it has seemed like, in the 3-6 months before major military conflicts pop up, there's a palpable ramp in recruiting ads. Anyone noticed this?
I'm seeing a ton. I don't search for anything military related, don't talk about the military, and don't consume military shows, movies, games, or anything of the sort.
Am I just a victim of confirmation bias due to the frequency and regularity of military bullshit? Are military contractors breathing down the necks of whoever manages these campaigns for the Reserves and branches extra hungry for their cut of the "post"-pandemic fumes working class American families are gasping to live off? Is another conflict being manufactured right now? Is this Ukraine stuff?
Thoughts?
