Why do people believe that we have the ability to travel to Mars with a robot and the moon with a person, yet, don't ask why there is an entire continent that is just too cold to do anything with.

So theres a continent, covered in more fresh water than all landmasses combined, that is cold, when we apparently have global warming, that is full of resources, that is just empty, yet we just gave up on the last frontier because it's too cold?

The excuse that it's too cold doesn't work anymore.
