Anyone else notice a sudden surge in clearly bot followers?

Been here for 2 years without ever gaining a follower(which I'm perfectly ok with), now this week have had 6 different accounts follow. They all appear to be bogus post-less accounts, asking me to join their fans.ly page or w/e. Most, I would say, appear to be AI creations. I wonder what switch was flipped for this to happen....was it because I got a 3 days suspension recently for being critical of doctors and legislatures? (Ban was for promoting hate towards "vulnerable and marginalized groups"....what part of being a doctor makes you marginalized or vulnerable?)
