$WHACKD

So the other day after I was finished cooking dinner for the family I thought it would be nice to surprise my wife with her favorite bottle of wine to pair with dinner since she’s a stay at home mom I figured I’d do something thoughtful so she can kind of just decompress a little. So I go to the liquor store and I say hi to clerk I ask for what I wanted and he grabs the bottle. Prior to asking for payment he asks for my id and I gladly quickly pull out my id slide it through the glass slot. He raises it and looks at me like I just told him *uck your mom. I instantly ask him what’s wrong? And he flips the id around and says who’s this? Just for context I’m a 30 year old male. The person on my id was a women that I have never in my life seen before. So I immediately tell him pass the id back so I can take a closer look. When he passes it back it’s my normal identification card with my face and information on it. The clerk got mad at me when I flipped the id back around and showed him that it was me on it. He thought I was playing a joke on him but I wasn’t. He witnessed it and so did i. I don’t know what I witnessed honestly..maybe the lady that I saw on my id card was in the same location I was and required id to buy anything just on a slightly different version of our realty? Maybe wires got crossed idk I told jmy wife about it as soon as I got home but she kind of just brushed it off. I’m just looking for some type of answer logically to what I experienced. Has anyone ever experienced anything similar whatsoever ??
